Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026. These terms govern use of iGCSocial, operated by iGuides Canada ("we", "us").

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using iGCSocial you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use the service on behalf of an organization, you confirm you are authorized to bind that organization.

2. The service

iGCSocial is a platform for planning, creating, scheduling, approving, and publishing content to social media accounts that you connect, and for collaborating on that content.

3. Accounts and eligibility

You must be at least 18 and provide accurate account information. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for activity under your account. Enable available security features (two-factor authentication or passkeys) where appropriate.

4. Connected accounts and authorization

When you connect a social media account, you authorize us to access and act on that account through the platform's API solely to provide the service. You represent that you own, or have permission to manage, each connected account and the content you publish through it. You can disconnect an account at any time.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service to publish or distribute content that is unlawful, infringing, deceptive, hateful, harassing, or that violates the terms or policies of any connected platform. You will not use the service to send spam, to misrepresent identity, or to circumvent platform rules or rate limits.

6. Platform compliance

Your use of connected platforms is also governed by each platform's own terms (for example, the Meta Platform Terms, X Developer Agreement, LinkedIn API terms, the Google Business Profile content policies, and the TikTok Developer Terms). You agree to comply with them. We may suspend features as needed to remain compliant with a platform.

7. AI-assisted content

Some features generate draft text and images using AI providers you configure with your own keys. AI output may be inaccurate; you are responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving content before it is published. Where approval workflows are enabled, content publishes only after the required sign-off.

8. Your content and intellectual property

You retain ownership of the content and materials you provide. You grant us a limited licence to host, process, and transmit that content as needed to operate the service on your behalf. The platform software, branding, and design remain our property.

9. Fees

Any fees for the service or related agency engagement are set out in a separate agreement or order. Unless stated otherwise, fees are exclusive of applicable taxes.

10. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we are not responsible for the acts, policies, or availability of third-party platforms or providers.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from use of the service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

12. Termination

You may stop using the service and disconnect your accounts at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or to comply with law or platform requirements.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
